We are a brownie house, and have been since we both were in Baltimore. Every time we went to a house party, we’d be the brownie-bringers. Over the years, we’ve tried baking brownies with so many different kinds of toppings, and this one is definitely my all-time favorite. If you haven’t tried bananas in brownies before, try it! They are uber awesome!
Alternate: Try other add-ons, or just try it without!
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup flour
1/3 cup cocoa powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup chocolate chips
1/4 cup peanut butter chips
1 banana, sliced
In a mixing bowl, mix all the dry ingredients together.
Add the wet ingredients to the bowl and stir (or use a hand blender) to combine. [Proceed to bake if you don’t want the add-ons.]
Add the chocolate chips, peanut butter chips and sliced banana to the mixture. Fold the add-ons into the mix.
Pour the mixture into an 8-inch square bake pan and bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
Serve and enjoy!
