New York Eats: Magnolia Bakery @ Midtown West

Another from PP and my food adventures in NYC. We’ve read so much about the banana pudding at Magnolia Bakery. Everyone raves about it, but we’ve never had it before. We decided to make a trip to get some to try it for ourselves.

Here it what it looks like. Banana pudding! They come in many different sizes, but the small one is perfect for one person!

Banana Pudding – $3.75 (S): This was a pudding with soggy cookies and banana. It was really creamy, but in a rather artificial way. It was not cream that made it creamy. Instead, it was more of a floury texture, thus making it really heavy. Sometimes, you get a few pockets of fresh cream, which is a wonderful contrast to the rest of the pudding. The banana in the pudding were also a little brown, which was disappointing, even though they say these are made fresh every day. I do not thing that the banana pudding is good. In fact, given a choice, I won’t even choose to eat it. I have no idea why people think this is delicious.

With my foodie-in-crime, PP!
