California Eats: Kobe Bento @ Chinatown [San Fran]

Food posts from my Left Coast concert trip to San Francisco: Kare-Ken @ Tenderloin, Dragon Eats @ Financial District, Bissap Baobab @ Mission, Cream @ Mission, Good Mong Kok Bakery @ Chinatown, New Golden Daisy @ Chinatown, Kobe Bento @ Chinatown, Red Blossom Tea @ Chinatown, Sushirrito @ Union Square, Boudin Bakery @ Union Square and Boxing Room @ Hayes Valley.

After some dim sum bites at Good Mong Kok Bakery and roast pork at New Golden Daisy, I felt like I wanted (not needed) more food, and so was on the hunt for another ‘snack’. I still had some cash, and figured that it would be a good thing to do to spend all my money on food in Chinatown. Haha! Found this little shop called Kobe Bento (sounded interesting), and looked interesting, and decided to try some bento/donburis.

Looked like it was a Taiwanese night market stall. I love Taiwanese night markets with their deep fried chicken chops and squid and what not. This one also sold bubble teas!

Most disappointing don ever. I had no idea this was a fast food place. I thought it was like the Taiwanese night market-style foods. It wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t any good. $4.25 down the drain!
