Rhode Island Eats: Faust

Headed to Faust because we were in town for Water Fire! Water Fire is so much fun. I can’t believe it took us so long before we went to Water Fire!

Berliner Currywurst – $9: This was absolutely delicious! The fries were perfectly crisp and the sausage was savory, and was a great contrast to the sweet curry sauce. I would definitely get this again!

Cheese Spatzel – $16: This was a little rich for my taste. We shared everything between three people, so it wasn’t too bad, but we all agreed that if we were to eat this on our own, that it would just be too much of a good thing to still be a good thing. 3 bites–yes, a whole plate, no. Good textural contrasts with the walnuts though!

Pork Schnitzel – $17: This was good. Batter was light and the sauce was delish. The mashed potato was SOOOO rich, but most of it was cut by the sauce. All in all, a good dish. Also a good dish to share between folks, since the portions are rather large.

Nus Nudeln – $7: The ‘noodles’ were a little strange and doughy at first, but got rather addictive (the texture was great!) after a while. The fruits felt fresh, but the pecans seem to have too much of a contrasting aroma from the fruits. I liked it. It’s intriguing!

Pretzel Bread Pudding – $7: Pretty good bread pudding! Not much special about it, but it was decent!
